ICAO DENIES REPORTS ON ACCEPTING “GHANA CARD” AS E -PASSPORT

The international civil aviation organization in a twitter thread on Friday February 11 denies the media reports indicating they have approved the use of Ghana identity card “Ghana card” as e-passport in an international airports allowing holders to travel in and out of the Country

However the international aviation organization in a supporting twitter thread emphasized that it is the government of a state who approves documents required to be used by those traveling to and/or from its territories

This follows a report indicating that the ICAO has given the green light for the Ghana card to pass as a passport
