The Bono regional chairman for the ruling New Patriotic party has been invited by the Accra regional police command today February 15 , for questioning over a comment he made about the former president Mahama planning to stage a coup to overthrow the government.
According to the outspoken NPP regional chairman former president Mahama is in ties with “ALQAEDA” to help him stage a coup to become president again, he made this comment in an interview on HOT 93.9 FM’S political talk show “Dwene ho wo” hosted by Agya Wusu while responding to issues leading to the arrest of fix the country’s convenor Oliver Vormawor on his attempt to make a coup if parliament passes the E-levy.
The Ghana police service in a press statement signed by DCOP KWESI OFORI-DIRECTOR GENERAL, PUBLIC AFFAIRS, today stated that: “The attention of the police service has been drawn to a publication in which Mr. Kwame Baffoe alias Abronye DC is alleged to have said that the former president Mahama is allegedly planning a coup.
“The Accra regional police command has invited Mr. Kwame Baffoe to report to the police headquarters by 4pm today to assist investigations failure of which will be arrested”.
The police service again promised they will update the public about the outcome of their meeting with Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye. “The public will be updated in due course”
