The Ghana police as promised in a statement released earlier today concerning the update they will be giving the public about their meeting with Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye, the Bono regional NPP chairman, has released a statement in effect to that stating they have arrested Abronye DC

As the police said in their first statement that if Abronye DC fail to prove the allegations he leveled against the former president Mahama he will be arrested.

Due to his inability to prove the allegations he has leveled against the former president he has been arrested on the basis false publication and making statement that may threaten the peace of the country. The Police stated in their press release that:

“Preliminary investigation has established that his claims against the former president are untrue and likely to cause a breach of the peace.

“In view of this he has been formerly arrested and charged on two accounts of publication of false news and offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace.

The police in their statement said Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye will appear before court tomorrow for the law to take its due course and again cautioned the general public to desist from publications that may violate the peace of the country, where they said:

“He has been detained and will be arranged before the court tomorrow, 16th February,2022.

“We urge the public to circumspect in all their dealings including pronouncements since anyone who falls foul of the law will be taken through the due process the law”.
