CLOGSAG To Embark on Strike action from Tomorrow.

CLOGSAG

The Civil And Local Government Staff Association, Ghana(CLOSAG) will embark on an industrial action tomorrow, April 21, 2022 over government’s delay in implementing neutrality allowances as well as providing better conditions of services to its members.

The intention was declared in a short statement by the association today, April, 2022 which is a follow up to their initial statement dated April 5.

According to CLOGSAG, they expected their neutrality allowances which were agreed upon by the government during their meeting with the government on January 20, 2022, to be paid to them which they failed to fulfill despite the numerous follow-ups by the association.

“It was noted that payment of the Neutrality Allowance has not been effected as agreed in spite of official reminders and follow-ups to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.”

According to CLOGSAG, the National Executive Council of the association took the position to prove to the government the need to implement the memorandum of understanding on their neutrality allowance.

“The National Executive Council (NEC) therefore decided that CLOGSAG should embark on an industrial action to press home its demand for the implementation of the MOU.” The stated in the Press Release.
